Other Blogs

I thought it would he fun to hit the Next Blog button at the top of the screen and write down verbatim the first sentence from the first 15 pages it took me to see what others may be blogging about.  Here's the outcome.

Well, we made it!  The design of kids bedroom should be functional.  Always a good time, especially that crazy arcade.  No matter where you live in the world, there is a chance that a tiny portion of Scottish blood may be running through your veins.  Geology books describe an ancient inland sea that once covered a huge area of our country including the small spot where we now live.  Ok, I dropped the ball, so to speak.  My last post was about Madalene House and Thistle Farms.  My Christmas cactus and my amaryllis are both blooming.  Happy Celebrations whatever you celebrate.  It's another New Year...and I'll take it!  A farmer's farewell, etched in white chalk, is echoing menacingly through Japan's agricultural sector.  Shortly after I came out to British Columbia in early 2006 I had a case of severely high blood pressure.  Dear Mom, I needed a change and I cut my hair.  A couple of years ago I found a pattern in a magazine for knitted flower fairy dollies.  I drove 1800 miles in 38 hours roundtrip to New Iberia, Louisiana.

The Rhythm Of Life

I hesitate using the word "old" in reference to this song, but since music from the '80s is now played on some oldies radio stations, here's an "old" song from an "old" movie that I just really love.  The lyrics are kind of hard to understand, but the chorus is what I like the most and that is fairly easy to understand.

Hugh Harris - The Rhythm Of Life

By the way, the "old" movie this song is used in is 'Uncle Buck.'

A New Year, But With No Resolutions

With the onset of each new year, I never make any resolutions (except for the one where I ALWAYS turn one year older).  Making resolutions are like that old saying the road to hell is paved with good intentions...individuals may have the intention to undertake good actions, but nevertheless fail to take those actions; therefore, I like to have the mindset of just being responsible for my actions and my life and taking it one day at a time and getting as much enjoyment from the day that I possibly can.  I don't feel a need to make some long-term plan to help myself be a better person.  I try to be the best person I can be every day.  I try to not set myself up for failure, but rather know that I will fail at some things and that I can expect to learn from those failures.  So, with this new start of a new year, I plan to just continue to be me and live my life as it comes.  No strings attached.
