The thing about being so far away from family is missing them and the special days in their lives. I wish we could have been there for the festivities.
Well, it seems we share the same birthday! As for missing the festivities of family that live far away, I can only comment that I have been blessed to have had my grandson in my life completely for the eight years before he was forced to go to Chicago. This past year has been rough for me (not to mention his mother), but as a grandmother, I have come to realize that I was very lucky to have had him all the time, rather than twice a year (at Christmas and Thanksgiving) if that ... as many grandparents so experience. Still, on my part, the fight to regain custody of my grandson is not over until the judge makes a final ruling.
I sincerely hope Zaire comes home where he belongs soon! Since my grandkids have always lived in Florida, it's just the way it is from the beginning to not see them all the time, but to have had them around full time and then abruptly taken away, now that's something completely different. I can't even imagine the void. Good luck with all the legal shit!!
