New (sort of) Shelving

Spent Saturday afternoon with V building these shelves for the office space. She had them packed away in the garage since 2006 still in the shipping boxes and it was finally time to build them.  They gave the room a much-needed facelift.

Taylor Swift Is An Immature Brat

I have never, ever, ever been a fan of Taylor Swift.  I think she's pretty talentless when it comes to singing.  I've heard people say she writes pretty good songs.  I personally don't know - I've never been able to listen to one in it's entirety, but because I have an occasion now and then to turn on the tv or go to the internet, I do know that she pens most of her lyrics about ex boyfriends.  I think she has had 5 or 6 ex boyfriends in the last couple of years. Makes me wonder why she's had so many exes to begin with.  Is it time to maybe quit laying all the blame on the guys and take a closer look at herself?  I read that she actually mocked her latest ex in a live rendition of her latest single at the Grammy awards last night.  You can read about it here.  Taylor Swift, in my opinion, just needs to go away.

Bruce Hornsby Singing 'Imagine' Live

I'm not really a huge fan of John Lennon, but I do like the meaning behind the lyrics of 'Imagine.'
I do love Bruce Hornsby, however.  This is a live version of Bruce singing 'Imagine.' It makes me love this song.

Conversation Heart Art

I spent part of my my weekend making Valentine's decorations with V for her class.  I love doing stuff like that.  I think I missed my calling somewhere along the line.  I had an idea that she should hang 'conversation hearts' with the kids' names on them so we found a heart on the internet that closely resembled those little sugary snacks and then searched high and low for that perfect font (which we never really found, but came close) and made one for each student.  Then we took smaller versions of the heart and used some cute sayings on them as added decorations.  It was fun and the result was really cute.  For privacy reasons, I can't show pictures of the hearts with names, but I can show the others.
