Nearly One Week of Family Fun

Sunday, Aug 12: Arrival of my mother from the D.C. area.

Tuesday, Aug 14: Arrival of my brother, his wife and child from Luxembourg.

Thursday, Aug 16: Arrival of my step-father from Dayton, OH.

Saturday, Aug 18: Arrival of my daughter from Findlay, my cousin and her two kids from Richfield, OH (plus her boyfriend from Findlay), three cousins from Findlay, one cousin from Columbus, OH and one uncle from Toldeo, OH.

Already present: me, V, E, and T, one pool, one newly and painstakingly laid paver patio and the dog.

What a blast it was to have all my peeps around for one day shy of a week. Fun and memorable times. I love all you guys! Thanks for making my week!

Lexi's 7th Birthday Party

The thing about being so far away from family is missing them and the special days in their lives. I wish we could have been there for the festivities.

Broken Collar Bone

Our little Lexi broke her collar bone a couple of days ago...she fell and put her arm out to catch herself. What's amazing is that she didn't have much pain. Her mom didn't even realize there was a problem til the next day when she noticed Lexi wasn't using her arm. When the doctor asked her to raise her arm during his examination he was astonished that it didn't hurt her! What a tough little cookie! No surgery required, but she has to wear a brace for at least 4 weeks pending the follow up appointment. Unfortunately, this will probably put a damper on her 7th birthday party plans in 2 weeks.

Aiden

[Stole] more pictures of Aiden from my daughter-in-law's facebook page.

Friday, February 17, 2012

My daughter-in-law posted these pictures on her facebook page. I [stole] them. I am amazed at how fast these two kids are growing! Aiden is only 2, but looks 4 in this picture while Lexi has the longest, skinniest legs I have ever seen on a 6 year old (and the biggest feet)!
